Context Proposes Design For Monterey Design Conference Awards Display

Context was recently approach by the American Institute of Architects (AIA)to propose a design of the award displays for the Monterey Design Conference. The event, which takes place later this month, brings out some of the best design professionals from around the world. The proposed would be used to hold presentation boards of this year’s design award winners in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Urban Design and Small Projects. Context’s design proposal utilized a rhythmic design, which manifest in an undulating form composed of our “ribbing” fabrication strategy.  The pieces are designed to create five clusters of boards that are designed to be rearranged but can also be aligned to create a single form with boards on either side. The proposed design can easily be put together and dismantled with minimal tools and man power. This was a feature that was embedded in the design from the get go as it needs to be transported to the site. Check out some images from Context’s current design proposal.
